High Shoals Falls

Sunday I scouted a waterfall location to be used as a background and setting for future portrait sessions.  The location is near Dallas, Georgia and would make a nice spot for family or senior portraits.

Best Ranger Competition

Last weekend I was again allowed to be a photographer at the 28th annual Best Ranger Competition that took place at Fort Benning near Columbus, Georgia.  The competition is a 60 hour test of each teams communication, strength, and just plan guts to get through to the finish.  At no time during the event does anyone know how close the teams are in points accumulated. They just know the order of the teams not how much separates them during the event.

This year was a little different from last year as even with media credentials my movements were a little bit more restricted than last year, however I was able to capture most of the images that I wanted to get and there is always next year to get what I missed getting this year.  It was good to see the support for our military and see the best of the best compete on a very fair and even playing field.
